Our clients had an existing lounge area which felt dull, dark, and wasn’t meeting their needs. They wanted a space that echoed the luxurious Mercedes Benz brand while also incorporating a more private lounge space for customers to wait or work while having their car serviced, or during the purchase of a new vehicle.

The overall goal of the design was to create a visually appealing space, maximize seating, all while maintaining a comfortable and sophisticated environment.

We removed the existing seating and area rug and designed three additional zones for customers to sit and feel at ease: a custom banquette, a middle area with pods to allow for privacy, and an additional seating space against the wall.

While the head office required TVs in the space, we softened the look by adding wood trim detailing which continued to the office wall where another TV was hung.

We saved the existing cabinetry and upgraded it by adding cabinet hardware and custom shelving. This continued above the bathroom and into the coffee station, giving the space a cohesive look and an intimate, welcoming feel. The back panel of the shelves included a marble stone texture, and stainless steel metal details on the front.

The lounge in the delivery area (where you wait for your new car to be brought out for you) incorporated some of the same wood material for continuity, which also creates warmth in the wide open space.

We designed the seating to be accessible from every side. One section being an L shaped banquette area facing the entry and the other including a straight banquette with tables and a bench that wrapped around.

We added a unique touch by creating a recessed area on top of the counter which holds the keys for your new vehicle.  The area included custom millwork with an angular shape to play off the Mercedes Benz logo.

We made sure customers could experience privacy if they chose, while having an option for larger groups together together in other areas.

The washroom design was more about using materials and fixtures to create a bright, inviting space without starting from scratch.

We brought details from the lounge into the washroom with wood panel and trim details on walls. A curved mirror and recessed detail for a hand towel also adds softness to the space.

Working with a company as renowned as Mercedes Benz was a pleasure. We love how these two lounge areas turned out and we hope to make use of them soon. ;)
